The Japanese word “Imori” can be translated with “Alpine newt”. Inspired by that you can find small newt elements on the embellishments. The sharp blade is made from hand-forged 1045 carbon steel in Shinogi-Zukuri-Style with a Bo-Hi
The handle is traditionally wrapped with dark blue cotton in Katate-Maki-Style, backed with genuine ray skin.
The black, sparkled lacquered scabbard has a high-quality cotton Sageo.
